It publishes personality questionnaires built from public-domain research instruments, together with articles about what the traits they measure do and do not predict. It is free to use, requires no account, and is funded by advertising.
It is published for general interest and self-reflection. That is the whole of its purpose.
This matters more than the rest of this page, so it is stated plainly:
Your answers are stored in your own browser and never sent to us, which is described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for them in the sense that we cannot see them, back them up, or get them back for you if you clear your browser.
The statements in both tests come from the International Personality Item Pool (IPIP), which places its items in the public domain. We claim no ownership of them and neither should anyone else; you are as free to use them as we are.
What is ours is everything written around them — the articles, the trait descriptions, the interpretations, the code and the design of this site. Those are protected by copyright. You are welcome to quote a reasonable extract with a link back. Republishing whole articles, or scraping the site to reproduce it elsewhere, is not permitted.
Please do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site, and do not use automated tools to hammer it. There is no rate limit worth speaking of because there has never needed to be one.
We link to other parts of reward.land, to research papers and to other external pages. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Advertising, once it runs here, is supplied by third parties and appearing on this site is not an endorsement of what is advertised.
The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or that any particular page will still exist tomorrow. Research gets corrected and pages get rewritten — on this site that has already happened more than once, and it will happen again.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using this site or from decisions taken on the basis of anything published here. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Danish or EU consumer law that cannot be limited by agreement, and nothing here excludes liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
These terms are governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of your own country’s consumer law, and you may bring proceedings in your own country’s courts.
